AIG New Zealand currently has Domestic Ticket Cancellation and Baggage Protection Insurance and Trans-Tasman Ticket and Baggage Insurance available to purchase. There are various exclusions relating to COVID-19, so please ensure you read the Policy Wording to see the full details. Please also note the Travel Alert above. There are some key exclusions where no cover can be provided, these exclusions include:

  • No cover for pre-existing medical conditions unless specified in the policy
  • No cover for cancellation due to change of mind

Important Information
  • Jetstar Trans-Tasman Ticket and Checked Baggage Travel Insurance does not cover overseas medical expenses. It only covers cost of emergency medical evacuation to return you to New Zealand if you are hospitalised in Australia due to injury or illness during your trip, and;
  • Cover is only available when travelling on a Jetstar flight with a valid Jetstar ticket.
